July 16, 2009 Regular Meeting Agenda Item #12 Item Title C-11 2009-2010 Title X, Part C Education of Homeless Children and Youth Project American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Grant Issue/Rationale To facilitate the identification, enrollment, attendance, and success in school of homeless children and youth.  Supplement Local Educational Agency funding to ensure that homeless children and youth have equal access to the same free, appropriate public education, including preschool education, as provided to other children and youth. Recommended Action Approve the 2009-2010 Title X, Part C Education of Homeless Children and Youth Project American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Grant as submitted.
